KCR will be showcasing the talents of local duo ADOBIE and the exotic sounds of CERTIFIED MANGO. ADOBIE consists of bass and guitar duo Jim and Shelley Dobie. who explore Blues, Folk and Latin sounds. Their vocal harmonies are featured throughout their performance and reveal a wealth of musical chemistry!  In August CERTIFIED MANGO impressed locals at the Kohan Garden with a spirited performance that announced their arrival on the local music scene. CERTIFIED MANGO performs original World/Groove/Jazz music composed by Paul “Garbanzo” Gibbons with influences ranging from Cuban Rumba, Mambo, Tango to North African beats.  The audience will experience a range of tones, from dreamy hypnotic grooves to up-beat and danceable. Musicians featured;  Howard Bearham on Soprano and Baritone Sax, Lorna Visser on Clarinet, Aiko Jackson on piano and keyboard, Tsuneko “Koko” Kokubo on percussion ,Shelley Dobie on bass & vocals and of course the primary composer for the group Paul Gibbons on congas. Light snacks and refreshments will be available at intermission.
